13-17 Jan 2025 “Yin / Insight Yoga and the Wisdom of Maitri” - Silent Retreat with Olivia Clarke

Olivia loves to guide people into the depths of Winter. Wintering is an invitation to deepen, hibernate, rest as the Earth does, gather collectively around roaring log fires, as we winter together and enjoy the nourishing beauty of silence, deep yin and wisdom of Maitri. Wisdom is a slow, gradual deepening, blooming, flourishing, as we come to know ourselves, in more loving ways. Maitri is the practice of making friends with ourselves, unconditionally and wholeheartedly. You sit with yourself. You move closer, no matter what’s going on. You don’t try to get rid of anything. You recognise your humanity. You learn to stay. Maitri strengthens us with stability and steadfastness. It also softens us. You are invited to rest back and relax deeply into the present moment.

7-10 February 2025 Beacons Creative Retreats

Open to both aspiring and established artists and craftspeople, as well as their partners, we have all seen first-hand that trying different disciplines can excite the imagination and feed the soul, with a positive outcome for your own craft. The workshops have been carefully chosen so that there is something for everyone, and the Retreat offers a range of activities that you may have always thought of trying, as well as some you might never have even considered. The tutors who join the team are seasoned makers and artists, many of whom I have worked with for many years. They are very experienced in their practice, with many high recommendations, and full of enthusiasm, so you will be assured of workshops with professionals who love to share their skills and facilitate your own.

During the weekend, you can choose to fill each session with different classes, or choose a time to go walking up the Skirrid Mountain under which our Retreat nestles. Perhaps you will choose an afternoon to read, maybe sketch, or write in your journal. The Creative Retreat offers you the opportunity to choose how to spend your time, with many options to choose from, or to create your own!

17-20 February 2025 Parent(s) & Tweenager(s) Fun in the Country Retreat

This fabulous half-term break is designed to keep you and your progeny, ideally age 8 - 12 yrs, off screens and enjoying the countryside as children should. Learn how to love and be confident in nature whilst having fun with like-minded people.

Stunning accommodation, delicious food and an eclectic agenda. Watch your children run wild in the knowledge they are miles from traffic and pollution, yet an easy journey from much of the UK. The perfect trip for single parents, couples, grandparents, godparents, aunties & uncles.

So what if the weather might be British?  We brave the elements wrapped up warm and run the workshops in the woods, then enjoy games in the magical Great Barn with a roaring fire. Plus there's loads of places to be cosy in front of a wood burning stove after a bracing time outdoors.

Day 1: RAISE THE ROOF. Arrive for tea or hot chocolate and yummy home-made cakes in the Great Barn. Meet your fellow guests (with a funny game), followed by a rip-roaring drumming workshop designed to blow the cobwebs away.

Day 2: REACH THE TOP OF THE WORLD. Our private route up the Skirrid is well worth the walk, with a prize for naming the 7 counties we can spy down below. Spend the afternoon exploring the farm buildings with a scavenger hunt (while the adults enjoy a cold water dip, sauna or massage*).

Day 3: BUSHCRAFT TIME. Learn how to survive in the wild, light a fire, forage, follow animal tracks and lots more good stuff. Plus, time to enjoy the grounds, table tennis and trampoline. Supper in the great barn with games and disco diva dancing for those who fancy it.

Day 4: MAKE A MASTERPIECE. With help from our expert creatives everyone is super talented and will make nature inspired artwork to take home and remind you of us, we hope! 🙂

Also included in your stay:
 - 3 nights accommodation
 - 3 delicious meals a day, snacks & hot drinks
-   Exclusive use of the farm and gardens including the natural swimming pool, sauna with a view, hot tub (for adults only).

19-23 May 2025 Women only guided walking adventures with Helen Venus from Wild Rambling

The curving mountain ranges around Brecon have long been one of the iconic images of Wales, and now the name of this beautiful landscape is also unmistakably Welsh, as the Brecon Beacons has officially switched to using its Welsh name, Bannau Brycheiniog – or “the Bannau” for short. Not only are we perfectly placed to explore the eastern part of the National Park, the Wye Valley isn’t too far away either. We expect this holiday to be at a moderate level - with walks up to 10 miles a day, and some ascent and descent involved.
